Highland “Gaelic Ale”

Posted: November 19, 2011 in Amber

Asheville North Carolina is home to this neat brewery.  They started in 1994 brewing with almost all retrofitted dairy equipment.  They now have a modern facility in east Asheville.  Their flagship brew is the Gaelic Ale.  It is a solid, no frills amber ale.  It uses Willamette, and Cascade hops to provide a well balanced bitter/malty flavor.  The theme is well suited for a brewery in the beautiful Blue Mountains.  I am excited to try some of their other beers.  The Gaelic Ale is a good beer.
